Water use and tariffs

You can choose between different uses within the contract. Note that each use has different tariffs:

  • Domestic use for residents

The supply serves a single real estate unit and is intended for domestic use. To activate this user, the contract holder must be a resident in the house where the service is provided. If there are multiple housing units or you need to use water for other uses as well, then select condominium user.

  • Domestic use for non-residents

The supply serves a single real estate unit and is intended for domestic use. This user is designed for those who are not residents in the house where the service is provided and for those who own a second house. If there are multiple housing units or you need to use water for other uses as well, then select condominium user.

  • Condominium use

The supply can have different uses (e.g., domestic and commercial) and serves two or more real estate units with a single meter. Condominium use is not only for condominium administrators, but also private complexes (e.g., two-family villas), served by a single meter.

  • Other uses: irrigation and collective use

The supply is used to irrigate condominium gardens or green areas of the condominium.

  • Other uses: different use

The supply is used for the shared parts of the condominium.

The variable component of aqueduct services for residents is divided into groups based on per capita consumption in cubic metres (m3). Sewers and treatment, on the other hand, have a single tariff independent of consumption. In summary, 33 cubic metres of water per year (about 90 litres per day) are calculated at a preferential tariff for each member of the household. Excess consumption is classified in subsequent consumption brackets (low-tariff bracket, first, second and third surplus brackets). The fixed component for residents is independent of consumption and is applied to individual services: aqueduct, sewers and treatment. For resident domestic use, the fixed component is applied per capita up to a maximum of three components per family.

For domestic users dedicated to non-residents, the variable component is the same as that applied to residents, with the exception of the preferential component which does not apply. If you are a resident and haven't communicated this to us, please email us at assistenza.clienti@gruppocap.it. For domestic users dedicated to non-residents, the fixed component is applied with a daily criterion (per day) equal to the amount provided for a housing unit of three people.

The tariffs for aqueduct services for condominium use are the same as those for domestic use dedicated to residents. The application of the preferential tariff will be based on the number of apartments that make up the condominium and the number of family members who live in each apartment. In the absence of data on the number of members of the household, a standard criterion is applied which considers three members per apartment. This is why it is important to communicate personal data (residence/non-residence and number of people). If you haven't communicated them yet, please send an email to assistenza.clienti@gruppocap.it. For non-domestic real estate units that use the supply for commercial, public purposes, etc., the minimum fixed component established for non-domestic use applies (users with meter diameter 15). For mixed condominium users, who use the supply for residential and non-residential purposes, the fixed component applies as for domestic users.

For irrigation and collective use, it is not necessary to communicate the number of household members, moreover there is no preferential tariff bracket, nor is there a tariff related to sewers and treatment. For irrigation and collective uses, the minimum fixed component established for non-domestic use applies (with meter diameter 15). The fixed component is calculated based on the diameter of the installed meter. It is important to carefully assess your supply needs, choosing the best ratio between the meter size and your consumption.
