CAP Group, has obtained two loans for a total amount of 170 ML from the European Investment Bank (EIB), with the aim of strengthening the management of the water service through a series of projects aimed at sustainability, climate action and environmental care in the Milan area. Specifically, these are interventions to manage stormwater and increase the resilience of the system in the face of climate change, optimize the process to reduce energy consumption and sewage sludge. The EIB is the EU's Climate Bank and one of the world's largest lenders to the water sector, with more than 1,600 projects and nearly €79 billion in financing disbursed. In 2021, the EIB financed about € 1.63 billion worth of water projects, helping to provide better access to clean water for about 10 million people.

2014 funding - 70 million

The first loan was granted in October 2014 in the amount of 70,000 euros disbursed in the following tranches to December 31, 2022.

Funding 2022 - 100 million

On April 11, 2022, a new loan agreement with the European Investment Bank worth 100 million euros was concluded by Gruppo CAP to support part of the investments in the business plan for the years 2022-2025, fully disbursed in 2022. This loan is among the first EIB Green Loans in the water sector in Italy. There are two tranches disbursed until 31/12/2022.
