Gruppo CAP has been awarded the Top Utility Overall Award, the highest honor assigned to Italian utilities.
The award was presented today in Milan during the launch of the 14th Althesys Report “Changing to Grow”, hosted at Palazzo Turati.
The Overall Award is given to the company that achieves the best overall performance among the 100 largest Italian utilities, based on a broad set of parameters including sustainability, operational efficiency, economic and financial solidity, innovation, and the ability to generate value for the local area.
The jury assigned the award with the following motivation: “The Top Utility Overall Award is given to an organization that has achieved strong results across all areas, particularly demonstrating attention to customer communication, sustainability, operational efficiency, and relationships with the territory in which it operates.”
Alongside Gruppo CAP, the finalists for the Overall Award included Alto Trevigiano Servizi, Iren, Marche Multiservizi, and Silea.
Finalist in three categories
Gruppo CAP’s success in this edition is further strengthened by an additional achievement: in addition to winning the main award, the company was included among the top five finalists in two other strategic categories, the Top Utility ESG Award and the Top Utility Territory & Community Award.
This milestone confirms the solidity of CAP’s industrial model, highlighting on one hand its commitment to communities and stakeholders, and on the other the quality of its sustainability reporting, reinforced by the voluntary adoption of the ESRS criteria required by the European CSRD directive, even in the current evolving regulatory context.
