Net profit and EBITDA increased to 110.6 million thanks to cost reductions resulting from the implementation of energy efficiency solutions, an increase in renewable generation and efficiency improvements in the aqueduct sector to reduce water losses.
Gruppo CAP continues its development path and closes 2023 with a net profit of 12.5 million euros, up from 2022 (5 million), reaching 110.6 million euros. EBITDA also increased (up 18.9% on the previous year), while revenues stood at 413.5 million euros.
There is also continuity in terms of investment in the sustainable development of the area served, which also exceeded 100 million euros in 2023.
On the other hand, costs significantly reduced, from 425 million in 2022 to 390 million in 2023. This is due not only to the fall in the cost of electricity (which grew exponentially in 2022), but also to total energy consumption, which was 2.01% lower than in the previous year, as a result of energy efficiency measures, the increase in renewable energy production and efficiency improvements in the aqueduct sector, which have led to a significant reduction in water losses.
The consolidated financial statements were approved on 24 May by the Board of Directors of CAP Holding S.p.A., together with the Consolidated Non-Financial Statement pursuant to Legislative Decree no. 254/2016. Specifically, total revenue in 2023 was 413,524,007 euros, consisting mainly of revenue from water service charges, net profit was 12,485,115 euros and assets were 1,401,628,193 euros.
