CAP and the digital company of the Italgas Group sign a Memorandum of Understanding to develop joint initiatives in the fields of digitalisation, technological innovation and artificial intelligence

To develop synergies in the management of water and gas networks, to promote joint initiatives in the field of digital transformation and new technologies, and to work together to offer innovative services to water service managers in Italy and abroad. Gruppo CAP and Bluedigit, the digital company of the Italgas Group, sign a Memorandum of Understanding that will allow the two companies to join forces in the field of technological innovation.

The first objective of the Memorandum of Understanding is to share skills and know-how in order to develop synergies between the gas and water sectors, in which the Italgas Group operates through its subsidiary Nepta, and to promote the innovative use of technologies for monitoring and managing networks. It will be possible to launch joint initiatives in the fields of innovation and digitalisation in order to continue on the path of technological development and to improve the quality of water services, using increasingly technologically advanced management systems. And there’s more. The Memorandum of Understanding also provides for market research and the creation of joint initiatives for the provision of innovative services in Italy and abroad. Finally, the collaboration between the two companies will promote the adoption of vertical products and solutions developed by CAP and Bludigit in the field of operational efficiency, cartographic management of assets and network monitoring.

This is not the first joint initiative between Gruppo CAP and Italgas. Together with MM and Acquedotto Pugliese, the two companies have set up the Fondazione per la Sostenibilità Digitale Water Group, which aims to promote investment in digital technologies to improve the efficiency and sustainability of water services.
